I have already been asked for clarification about yesterday's blog. It appears I was a litle unclear about how your carpet acts as a filter. The reason you get that line of filtration dirt around the edges of your carpet is that your carpet really does, as I said, act as a filter. But how? It is because of air flow in your home. When you get circulation through your house, air actually travels down your walls, past your baseboards, right through and underneath your carpet. It then resurfaces where ever the easiest path may be. This happens even more in a home with central air. Your A/C system creates natural air circulation in your home and keeps your carpet hard at work filtering your air.
So, again I must remind you that like any filter (think of the air filter in your car) it must be cleaned to work efficiently.
