Online Presence   7/7/2008 8:02:02 AM   0 Comments
Again, today I will keep it short, but I do have a valuable tip for you. I want to tell you about the world of the internet. Many people simply do not realize the power of a simple website such as FordsCleaning.com. Our site doesn't do anything all that unique or special but it gets the job done. Many things we would normally have to do as upper-management are streamlined on our website. Clients can request a quote, view our services, apply for a job, and even post a comment right here on this blog. All of that without any of our involvement.

Our inbox fills with quote requests and job applications so that we may answer them in a timely manner on our own time. In addition to saving time for us it is a huge beacon that brings in customers from all over. Until we went after a site of our own we had no idea the power it would have.

Daily Chores   7/5/2008 9:38:00 AM   0 Comments
Taking care of carpet, tile, and/or hardwood flooring can be a painstaking chore. Once a week I used to take out the vacuum and mop and scrub my floors for nearly two hours or more. It was very time consuming after all the food, crumbs, and spills that plagued the floors throughout the week. Today I have adopted a new policy that saves a tremendous amount of time and keeps my house looking fresh and clean. I vacuum and mop every single day!

Window Tracks Come Out!   7/4/2008 12:20:27 PM   0 Comments
About fifteen years ago the old aluminum window frame was trumped by the new vinyl window frame. These newer windows are made using polyvinyl chloride (PVC). A company just starting out with residential window cleaning will run into these a lot. After all, vinyl and wooden window frames have over 70% of the residential market as of the year 2007. What most people don't know is how versatile these windows are and how easy they can be to clean versus the old aluminum frame.
