Happy Holidays to All!
I hope this finds all of you enjoying the Holidays and all
of the wonders that our world has to offer!
This week I am bringing to you some helpful Holiday Food Preparation
tips!
A good friend of mine happens to also be an expert in the
Catering industry and a master of fine cuisine. Mary Crafts of Culinary Crafts, whom many of
you know and perhaps have even watched on television, has provided me with the
following Holiday Tips to pass on to you!
Please enjoy...
"During December, I always make extra Sunday dinner
and freeze the leftovers in individual size plastic containers. Families
are going every which way during the holidays and this makes for easy
microwaving of good food when Mom's not around. Better tasting and
certainly more healthy than fast food and delivery pizza!"
"I make batches of cookie dough the first week of December and freeze
individual scoops of the dough. This makes quick work to bake off the
cookies when guests pop in to exchange gifts or sing carols. I never want
to be caught with only microwave popcorn to serve!"
"At our house, Christmas morning brunch is the big meal of the day.
Start now to plan and try something new this year...maybe Pumpkin Chocolate
Chip Pancakes; or Sparkling Orange Juice; or an impressive Italian Frittata
flipped out of the pan right before your family. A nice touch to let your
family know you care."
