Believe it or not it's almost that time of year! I know the snow on the ground is letting us know that Winter still has us in it's grip. However the time is rapidly coming to start preparing your lawn!
If you would like your lawn to look like this right from the start then its time to start thinking ahead a little. Usually March is a sporadic month for us when it comes to weather. When you start to get that mix of warm and then cold, snowy days then its time to pretreat your grass for a rapid green up. It is during this period when you start to get that feeling that "this storm" may be one of the last one of the year. During one of these last snows is when I like to put an application ofAmmonium Sulphate. That's right, put it right on the snow. This allows for a great absorption as the snow melts off. Usually ground temps have risen enough to allow the water and the fertilizer to soak in. This application will give your lawn that shot of nitrogen that it is craving right now. Now watch what happens.....everyone in your neighborhood will be asking you why your lawn is so green while all the others are still looking like its winter! Whether you choose to hire a yard care professional or take care of your yard yourself, remember to check in at www.fordscleaning.com for hints and tips to keep your yard looking fantastic all Summer long.
Have an incredible week!!~ (Read More)
